Rafflesia arnoldii is noted for producing the largest individual flower on earth. It has a very strong and horrible odor of decaying flesh, earning it the nickname “corpse flower.“ The foul smell of rotting meat attracts flies and beetles to pollinate. It is endemic to the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra.

Yeaaaaaaah so Iowa got a little boring after nine years there, and I had been barking about getting out of the Midwest for a few years anyway. ‘Twas time, and why not Denver? I’m surrounded by mountains. The people are kind. I feel more compelled to do and pursue yoga. Denver appreciates colorful, abstract art (as well as thoughts and ideas).
Weed is legal. *thumbs up*
The population here is increasing rapidly and I’m not going to lie, that bothers me. I’m not a crowd person (yep, still suck at being social *another thumbs up with an uncomfortable smile*), but it’s also huge. And full of opportunities. Possibilities.
I have a job.

I had this whole thing written out. This like.. Dramatization of the culmination of all the experiences I’ve had over the last year and how they changed me. I read it back to myself and laughed and erased it. If I’ve learned one thing, it’s that people will get the gist of shit 99% of the time. So I could just write “hey I’ve done a lot of drugs, made a lot of art, been loved unconditionally, and completely reprogrammed my brain” and you’ll get the same shit out of it, so there it was.
I’ve done a lot of drugs. I’ve made a lot of art. I’ve been loved genuinely and unconditionally (gushes and swoons). I’ve reprogrammed my brain. I am who I am and I’ll keep evolving and keep growing and changing and all that lovely existential jumbo wumbo.
I’m happy. I’m lazy and fat and in love and happy. I am who I am. Just thought I’d check in. Love you.
I’m terrible at speaking
I feel it heavily lately. A heavy meditational practice seems to have quieted the chatter so much that I am completely void of thought multiple times throughout the day. I’ve invented my own on/off switch, and sometimes I would just rather keep it off.
I used to shout my opinions over the words of others. I now see quickly all of the possible outcomes, see none of them as worthwhile, and remain silent.
I’m enjoying myself, but I’m becoming increasingly less and less interesting to people. I guess that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
I haven’t been cranking out the art quite as much lately. I’m having a lazy end of the year. It’s nice, but I’m also getting antsy to really throw myself back into it.
None of these are finished but they will be soon. Keep your eyes peeled. Love you. ❤️
The world is like one giant movie screen for São Paulo-based artist duo Ceci Soloaga and Ygor Marotta, aka “VJ Suave”. The two have fused interactive technology with street art, using custom-fitted tricycles called “Suaveciclos” that carry speakers and projector equipment. VJ Suave describe their work as “digital graffiti”, created mainly with an application called Tagtool which allows them to edit and play their whimsical animations in real-time.
